Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Zortix website, web app and mobile app. By using Zortix you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
What Zortix is
Zortix listens to publicly published finance podcasts, transcribes them, and organises what was said into summaries you can search by company, topic and show. Every summary is attributed to the person who said it, on the episode they said it on, linked back to the moment in the source.
What Zortix is not
Zortix is not investment advice. It is a research and educational tool. We are not an investment adviser, a broker-dealer, or a financial institution, and using Zortix does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship of any kind.
- We do not recommend, rate, rank or forecast any security. Where the product shows how much a company was discussed, that is a measure of conversation volume, not a judgement about the company.
- The opinions in any summary belong to the speaker, not to Zortix. Publishing a summary is not agreement with it.
- We do not display prices, returns or performance, and we do not tell you what to buy.
- Investing carries risk, including the loss of your entire investment. Past performance does not predict future results. Decisions you make are yours alone, and you should verify anything you find here against the original source and take professional advice where you need it.
Accuracy
Transcription and summarisation are automated and imperfect. A speaker can be misheard, a summary can lose nuance, and a company can be identified wrongly. This is exactly why every item links to its source: treat Zortix as an index into what was said, and the recording as the authority. We give no warranty that the content is accurate, complete or current.
Third-party content
Podcasts and their transcripts belong to their creators. Zortix publishes short attributed summaries together with a link to the original, and does not republish episodes wholesale. Names and marks belong to their owners; their appearance is not an endorsement of Zortix, or by Zortix of them.
If you own a show and want it excluded, write to hello@zortix.app and we will remove it. Same address for any other rights complaint, and we will act on it promptly.
Your account
You need to be at least 16 to use Zortix, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. Accounts are for one person. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from the app or from Account → Data & privacy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we must for legal reasons.
Paid subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription. Where you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the purchase is with that store: it takes payment, it handles renewals, and its terms govern refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you cancel through the store, not through us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
If you are a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts. Where the service is made available to you immediately and you have asked for that, this right may end once delivery has begun, as the law allows.
Prices may change; we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.
Brokerage links
Zortix may earn a commission if you open an account through a brokerage link in the product. This never changes what we show you: which companies appear, and how prominently, is driven by what podcasts discussed, not by who pays us. A brokerage link is not a recommendation of that broker.
Using the service fairly
Please do not:
- scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy content, or use it to build a competing dataset;
- resell or redistribute the content as your own;
- circumvent rate limits, paywalls or access controls, or probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first;
- use Zortix to break the law, including securities law, or to mislead anyone about what a speaker said.
The service, its software and its original content belong to us. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for your own research.
Availability and changes
We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we make a material change to these terms we will update the date at the top of this page and, where it affects you directly, tell account holders by email. Continuing to use Zortix after that means you accept the change.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind so far as the law permits. We are not liable for investment losses, for decisions you take on the basis of anything you read here, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection rules.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes go to the competent Dutch courts. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of mandatory rules in your own country of residence, or your right to bring proceedings there.
